Why tell me why, everytime there's a family function, a holiday that I look forward to my body/mind comes crashing down. Damn I so sick and tired of letting everyone down, majorly myself. I don't @@#$% pity parties I want a life.
I've been told straight up, Tucker I couldn't count on you for anything..
And today one more time I'm in a hole, wife is home, parties to go to and I can't make it...

HUUUG....................

Never cared for family functions much myself...sorry someone told you that you can't be counted on...I hope you know that it is an over-generalization...so don't let that lie win....

Being honest I never did either, but with my parents in there late seventies, the presure is on. They want me to act like some sort of trained seal. I just can't turn off the mask and fake how I feel or look. The cycles I go through are by the hour sometimes.

So drop the baggage and move on? And I'll still be the black cloud in the famiy.............

I guess if that is a question...yes...if your family is "toxic" to you being healthy...you are not honoring your parents or family by faking anything or being guilted into being what you are not...

Hi Tucker!

Does your family (parents/brothers/sisters know you are Bipolar?

If they do & keep relying on you in spite of it...I have to agree w Direction...they are harming you. AVOIDANCE as much as you can.

Have you told them the reason you may NOT always be reliable: because you have a condition/illness that controls much of your life: you are trying to cope with it & their support & understanding would really help..and is welcome?

Just my thoughts Tucker..sounds like you become anxious BEFORE each get together because you are anticipating a bad outcome?

Take care & hold steady!

Makes me @#$ sick. They, know I'm BP. There to busy in there own little worlds, don't make time for me.
I was raised in a Christain home, I'm trying not to bring the walls down, but it's eating me up.
50 yrs old, if I don't call everyday guess who's in the john, ME. They won't pick up a @#$%^& book to look it up, or understand, nope..

Destroy my family for my own sanity, or pull the mask of indission over me again??
