I have bipolar and panic disorder.

I tried searching online but found out they were fake since I got a bunch of span text messages.

Can someone link me to a reliable website?
Or if I go into some place to apply, what happens? Are there some sorts of tests or something?

ssa.gov

You can file from home online. There are some requirements you must meet for SSDI , having enough work credits and such, If you don't have enough work credits them you can apply for SSI .. they are different.

You will be scheduled to see a medical Doctor for the state for an evaluation.

Does your Pdoc agree that it would be wise for you to file for SSDI? Its virtually impossible to be approved for disability if your Doctors aren't backing you.

Some people get approved first go around , But the larger majority are denied first time and that usually a 3 month wait , then appeal , depending on your state it could be months, if that is denied then you will have to go to a court hearing... that can take up to a couple years ( based on what your states backlog is for SSDI cases .

Hope this helps

There is a forum for this above..."Insurance and Finances". There's lots of good info on there.
Best of luck!
