This was on the PC main page today. I found it to be interesting and agree with pretty much all of them (not so much #1 since I don't really get mania too often). But especially the last one of saying "I'm sick" when needing time off. Anyone else agree with any of them?

hat is so like me. I agree with all five. I wish the world understood this because the stigma of bipolar illness leads us to these coping behaivors.

I do all of those. When I'm manic it's a real struggle to downplay my energy. I've had people comment at work that I'm practically running through the halls - I am! Fortunately (or unfortunately as it is fun for like half a second) I don't get mania anymore thanks to Invega.

But the I'm sick thing - ALL THE TIME when I'm depressed! Because people can tell something's wrong but I'm not comfortable admitting I'm depressed so I just say I'm not feeling well.

Me too. I sometimes say I have a really bad headache if I'm not my usual social self at work and just not in the mood to say anything.

Number 3 especially. I find isolating helps me keep more stable in the long run.
