I've had a very manic mindset the past few days. Major events trigger the mania such as the new job I am going onto.

I spent all day today going to every goodwill in town and spent the past two days searching Craigslist ads, but I came up with nothing. Tomorrow, I'm picking up a futon I have found on craigslist which is what I wanted and which is exactly what I wanted to spend on it.

Last night I took an extra 10mg of zyprexa and I'll be taking extra until the mania goes away, and I've been taking my meds every day. I don't want to start off on the wrong foot at my new job because of the mania.

Any advice or thoughts?

Congrats on the futon find. I have no advise, just want to wish you luck at your new job. Oh wait, only advise I have is to check in with your doctor about how you are doing and the importance of being as stable as possible for your new job.

Best of luck

Good luck in your new job. Have you tried Mindfulness meditation? I had to finally go on antipsychotics to control my manic symptoms. Hope your doctor can find what works for you.

Today I acquired a free bookshelf in bright pastel green that looks so charming in my room, and at Goodwill I found a night stand that was the same maroon color as this dresser I painted over with grey leaving the cubbies maroon, so I bought it and painted all but the cubby and door grey.

My mind is racing so hard, it's hard to stop.
