So I was diagnosed with bipolar2 about 3-4 years ago and I currently feel like I may have adhd/add and depression. I know the symptoms overlap a lot I definitely have some adhd symptoms although I was not diagnosed as a child and I didn't have any major learning disabilities. Although i was horrible at math and sometimes It would take me longer to take test and do homework, I made average grades. Im not really depressed or hypomanic currently. I may have been hypomanic in the past few mths. I feel fine currently. I saw my doc (who isn't actually a doc but is a nurse practitioner at the VA hospital) and she recommended strattera. I don't really know what to think right now. I think it may help though?? I know you guys don't have the answer but is there anyone else who feels maybe they borderline between the 2? or you've been diagnosed with both at some point? Thanks

I've been wondering the same about myself the past few months. Sorry I can't give you much of an answer, but you're not alone. If you don't have access to a psychiatrist you could talk to about it, I'd say trying ADHD type meds and seeing how they affect you could be a good start, but that's just my guess.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, that's an easy way to "test" for bipolar disorder. Stimulants are known to make bipolar people hypo/manic, although you have to be wary... Some people *without* bipolar disorder get euphoria from Adderall (for example). So, this method is not 100% fool proof... but if you get hypo/mania from an antidepressant *and* from a stimulant, then you're probably bipolar.
Thanks for this!
