Is there such a thing as too much crying? Do you just go with the flow--no matter how many days it takes?

I'm sorry you're in emotional pain. I deal with it by cancelling all non-essential activities and just do the bare minimum to get by. I really hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for this!

Going with the flow is always best, for mania, depression, reactive emotions. Be thankful it hasn't dried up. Fight it and the flow gets (more) erratic, too much and too strong. You might get headaches fighting it (then again, also when not fighting it). Drink water.

Hope you feel better soon.

I wouldn't let myself cry longer than 15 minutes at a time. At times, I let myself wallow by just laying in bed, feeling sorry for myself, and then after about 30 minutes, I get up and make myself do something. Get distracted by a funny movie, dinner or lunch with a positive friend, get vigorous exercise (my favorite is DANCING!!), read a book you love, be around people, go for a walk, sing along with your favorite music, etc. It's important to grieve, but it's another thing to be consumed by it. You can do things to infuse some joy and sunshine in your mind while grieving or feeling pain. If you don't know what to do and feel stuck, call someone who is close to you who can be with you for support.
Thanks for this!

I tend to sleep more when I'm upset and I process the pain through directed dreaming. It helps me.

No, I don't believe in "no matter how many days it takes" simply because I have a mood disorder and those of us with this can take things to extremes. It helps to have people you trust around you. If they say you're overreacting, you might want to listen to it, or make an appointment to talk to somebody.
Thanks for this!

Ok, your probably very right. Find a balance.
