Do you suspect that you have other undiagnosed disorders?

I've always suspected BPD, even before my bipolar diagnosis. I seem to fit a lot of the criteria. I've just never brought it up with my pdoc because I'm rapid cycling and my moods have been all over the place! I need to get stable first.

I used to suspect Asperger's (before I got my bipolar diagnosis), but I did a full neuropsych eval and I just have an avoidant personality, bipolar, OCD, and ADHD. Together, those 4 kind of mimic the symptoms Asperger's.

At the moment i'm diagnosed with Depression & GAD. I have an appointment at the doctors next week.

I'm pretty confident i will be diagnosed with Bipolar 2 when i go. Hopefully then i can get my mood under control. I also believe i have Asperger Syndrome.

I've always wondered if there's a connection between BP and GAD. I see a lot of people on here who have GAD. I'm one of those people.

It might just be a common comorbidity, or it might just be a common disorder.

I forget how I was even diagnosed with GAD. I was in college at the time and saw a psychologist... That was 3 years ago. Then I did a neuropsych eval in October 2015 and GAD was reconfirmed.

Gosh, I hope not. I have BP1, PTSD, ADD and an anxiety disorder already! But I do know how it feels to wonder... my ADD wasn't diagnosed until I was 40 years old.

I originally was diagnosed with manic depression and GAD, then manic depression and ptsd, then manic depression and GAD. Right now bipolar and PTSD. I think I have all 3 I have psychotic episodes when manic which doesn't seem to really get addressed. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm becoming OCD though as I have specific routines for washing my hands and eating that I just can't shake.

pirilian, thats how I feel. When I spend a lot of time on this board I feel like I'm an imposter, like I don't even have bp. When I'm away from it and living in the moment I struggle with it and can 'see,' it, if that makes sence

@pirillin, zijax: Yep, I know that feel...

My brain tells me one day that I have BP. Then the next day, "Did I get dropped on the head when I was a baby? I swear i did... Bah, I don't have BP!"

Yeah I think I have BPD. I don't really care about the diagnosis if the treatment is working though

I was diagnosed PTSD, dissociative and GAD first, then MDD. Which changed to BP. They rules out a lot of stuff including personality disorders. I didn't believe the BP until the dissociative and then the PTSD was under control then it was easier to see it.

Anything else, God I hope not.

I may have made a discovery now. Maybe I have MDD instead.
I was diagnosed in a 45 minute interview as bipolar 1. And was artificially enhanced.
No mixed episodes to speak of. So maybe MDD is more accurate.
Like my life is not hard enough to start looking for trouble.

Not undiagnosed.

I dealt with PTSD along with Bipolar disorder. It's a bad mix and I'd say the PTSD definitely complicated the bipolar. Now that I have the PTSD pretty much under control (I doubt I would still hold the diagnosis anymore really), my Bipolar symptoms are also much, much improved.

You can always try propranolol if your anxiety becomes a problem. I've never tried it, but a lot of members here have tried it for their anxiety. It's a beta blocker.

I wanted to try it myself, but my next pdoc appointment is at the end of May
