So I started taking Effexor on March 25. I started with 37.5mg and after a week I went to 75mg. Soon after I started taking it, my appetite decreased. I have (in the last 5-6 years) been a binge eater and then I stopped bingeing but was an over eater. I would drink too much pepsi, eat junk for breakfast, and just be sick and tired and depressed all the time. Since taking it, I have been able to stick to healthy foods, I haven't eaten processed foods in a week, and no pepsi. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I wonder if it has to do with being depressed means I crave food, so if I am not depressed I don't feel like eating. I found when I did eat something with sugar in the beginning, it didn't have the same effect as it used to, I was more like "meh" instead of "I neeed it"
