I have recently been diagnosed with Bipolar 1. I'm 39 years old. Since I got out of the military in 05, I've been unable to hold down a job and I'm starting to think I'm incapable of taking care of myself. I don't think I need to be in a home, but I would definitely benefit from someone helping me with day to day life, finances, and decision making.
For disability purposes and my own curiosity, I've been looking back over the past ten years and some of my odd behavior. I went 15 months afraid of sleeping in my bed. I would sleep in a recliner or on the floor, but I could not bring myself to sleep on a mattress. I think this was my first real manic phase. |

Could some of it also be PTSD?
