I had such an awful day today, but despite everything that happened, I feel great.

On the way to my gym this morning, my GPS (Waze) routed me down a 1-way street and I almost hit someone. (I didn't see the one-way street sign until I was halfway down the road.)

Then after my gym session, I got on the highway to go home. That's when someone caused a major accident 1 minute ahead of me -- 1 minute ahead!! So, I got stuck sitting in traffic for 45 minutes even though I was only 1/4 of a mile from my exit. (Everyone put their car in park.) I got out of the traffic jam because the state police told everyone to back up, turn around, and drive to the previous exit. The police got out of their cars and directed people 1 by 1. (It was really bad. I've never seen police tell people to back up and drive the wrong way down the highway.)

Immediately after I got off the highway, my phone died and I got completely lost. I'm not familiar with the area where my gym is, so I didn't know where I was going. (FYI, my gym is 30 mins from my house.) I was basically driving in circles trying to find a place to buy an iPhone charger. I ended up at a Lowe's home improvement store, where I had to pay $15 for a car charger.

Stupidly, I decided to drive while my phone was charging because I figured my phone would charge and turn itself on within a few minutes. Nope. Apparently my phone only turns on once I reach 5% (I don't understand why, but I kept hitting the "on" button and my screen showed "NO BATTERY".)

To make matters worse, my car's fuel tank showed "5 miles until empty". LOL. I wasn't even looking at my gas tank this whole time! So, I was driving around not knowing where the hell I was and I needed to find a gas station. I don't know how far I drove, but I miraculously found a gas station! LOL

After I filled my gas tank, my phone STILL wasn't turning on. I was so impatient and cocky that I was like, "I'm going to drive myself home with or without my phone GPS!"

I took a wrong turn and ended up driving illegally through a ghetto industrial park. That's when my phone turned on. So, I picked up my phone and tried to navigate to Waze (my GPS app), but then I hit a pothole and my phone flew to the back of my car. LOL. You couldn't make this up!

I magically found my way to the highway, because apparently this industrial park is right off the highway. I had to drive around the "do not enter" gate in order to exit.

Wow!! Major kudos to you!!
All in one day... Again, wow!

I had to laugh at the situations (with familiarity more than haha kind) while at the same time sheepishly admitting I'd not have handled it at all well! "When it rains" or what?!

Well, today our credit card company called us to report that we were charged over $19,000 on our card yesterday. The charge was made by a local organic chicken farm. I talked with the owner this afternoon, and he said that the amount was accidentally entered when he slid our card through the card reader. He saw the incorrect amount and voided the transaction. That's all good, but I don't understand why we currently have an outstanding balance of almost $20,000. I'm sure it will work out in the end, but it has caused more than a little stress.

As long as it was voided, it will go away with no penalty. Just keep an eye on it in case they do try to charge you but they shouldn't. It might take up to 2 weeks to go away though

yep, some days I just can't win.

But, I remind myself I've been in worse situations and struggle on through.
