I dropped by my pdoc's office to get a copy of my genetic testing to take to my new pdoc. It wasn't in my records. "Nothing's ever easy" he said with a laugh. "We'll find it and get it to you next time. Sorry."
Seriously?

Hmmm. That's easy for him to say. Sorry you have another hoop to jump through.

Thank you...I guess I'll just have to get it done again at my new office. It's so frustrating though. They are constantly making mistakes and are so unorganized. I'm not sure how they even operate.

Just curious, is this the test where it shows which meds are best for you? Did you have to pay anything? I want to get it done so bad but I'm on Medicaid and I'm not sure they even do it.
Sorry they couldn't find it. I've worked for many docs and I have to say, I'm not surprised. My last SSD case took forever to get my records and really caused a hassle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What a blessing they're not surgeons. I'm imagining two guys in dungarees hitching them up in an operating theatre, saying, "Jimbob, what does this here wobbly pink doohickey do?" Hyuck hyuck. Oh yeah, and a spittoon for the chewing tobaccy. Cliche?!

Can you further explain this test?

Sure. The genetic testing shows you which meds are most compatible with you and which are least compatible with you. Medicaid covered mine.
Unfortunately, we never formally went over the results and I dropped the subject. I wonder if they ever actually even got the results. I know they did a cheek swab and my pdoc has referenced it but never actually showed me.
