I have been taking Effexor since March 25. For the first week I was on 37.5mg and then up to 75mg. I noticed today (I never really noticed it before) when I took off my shirt that I have red itchy bumps on my chest, breasts and upper belly. Also under one breast I have a red splotchy patch but that could be a heat rash. It all could be a heat rash, who knows since I have had increased sweating since I started. I have not had any difficulty breathing or swelling so I don't think it's an allergic reaction unless it's minor. I also noticed a day or so ago I had a rash of red bumps all over the underside of my neck.
Thoughts? Do you think this could be from the Effexor, heat rash or something else?
As a side note, had my first T appt this morning and he has increased my dosage of Effexor to 150mg starting tomorrow to see if it fixes my anxiety.

Sounds like heat rash probably caused by the sweating which can be a side effect of effexor. You might mention it to your doctor.
Thanks for this!

Did a doctor confirm this. Psoriasis can be very severe and difficult to treat. I know I've got it on my scalp. It's taken about 4 years of medicated shampoos and picking it off to get it under control.

It really sucks!

I have had scalp psoriasis since I was a kid. My mom and my aunt have it all over their arms and legs. I thought I was lucky to have it only on my scalp (at least it's mostly hidden) but a couple years ago I got small patches on my knees, and a couple weeks ago on my elbows. I was just looking at the bumps and realized they looked really dry and scaly like psoriasis and looked up pictures on google and it looks exactly like it.
