I find i like different people lately. I got a big bang out of this one character in my support group who was low-functioning but benign and charming. He said he had three girlfriends. I got a real kick out of that. Later in the week intellectual types that i would have preferred in the past tried to talk to me and i didn't enjoy them at all.

I think i'm getting so run-down from my bipolar and the Seroquel sedation that i can't keep up like i used to. A more simple person is now what i favor.

Anyone find this happening to them?

I'm sure it's age, too. I'm turning 50 this year and find more and more i just want to have a good time and a laugh and less of an intense intellectual experience.

I find my self drawn towards people older than myself. They are far more relaxed and wise when they speak. I still consider myself a puppy in wisdom even though I am 55.

I am 58, and I was thinking a little earlier how stupid I have been at work lately. It just boggles my mind. I am going to try to smarten up and act my age. As for liking different kinds of people, I'd say that I tend to like slightly older people. What's interesting is that I usually assume everyone is my age or older. And then I realize I'm the oldest person in the room, and that most of the younger people just aren't interested in me. It's a little unsettling.

I'm 57 and just started dressing my age...mostly thanks to the weight gain. But I haven't noticed a shift of liking different kinds of people I'm still drawn to offbeat not quite centered folk.

Yes I think about people I used to date or be friends with and I wonder "why?" In my case I think it's age and maturity. I'm not interested in things that I was before and therefore I don't relate to these people and their likes anymore. Back when I was a teen my life revolved around music and people that liked the same stuff I did. Now I couldn't care less what your into
