Hi all, I hope I can describe what I am feeling and it makes sense.

I get this pressure in my head, feels like someone is holding my head at both sides and pushing it together. It causes me to feel agitated and depressed. I also feel like I am getting a headache.

The pressure is quite intense like my head will explode, just wondering if anyone else feels like this. The feeling just comes and goes but can be disturbing like intrusive thoughts.

Also wondering is this another symptom of bipolar?

Thanks

Ann

I get headaches here and there but I don't think it's related to BP. I take lithium and I don't get enough sleep so those two things combined probably lead to headaches. I was undiagnosed for 30 years and I never got headaches before so I'm thinking it's the meds.......add on lack of sleep and it probably gets worse.

This is exactly what was happening to me for the past week! It was so bad this time that I was desperate for help from urgent care. They couldn't do anything to help me, however. I finally got in touch with my pdoc and she said I could come down on the lamictal. And to be honest, I was starting to have that overmedicated feeling anyway. It wasn't instant relief, but it definitely did help. That was my resolution, so you may want to check with your pdoc if it is consistent.

I feel your pain. I get vice grip like headaches too. I also get migraines (visual without head pain or with head pain). There is a link between migraine sufferers and BP, but I haven't read the data and don't know how concrete the correlatio n factor is. Please tell your doctor about your head pain.

How's the barometric pressers there? I find that in high humidity and low pressure I get horrible pressure headaches. Some medications can do it too.

It absolutely makes sense, I described it to my doc as a tin can slowly being crushed

I get barometric-related headaches, migraines and tension headaches ... ongoing since I was a child. My current go to med is Excederine Migraine. I add Advil if it doesn't go away.

I get that headache also- called Tension headache. Common type of headache, many over-the counter pills help, but let Dr. know, and keep track of how often they are happening.
Thanks for this!

I describe it as two magnets trying to be pushed together and the pressure it creates in my head. Worst feeling!
