The world is just the same never-ending cycle of things we make and then destroy

We take resources from the Earth Mother and yell "unfair" when she strikes back.

We cement over her wildflowers and cry because we have no more bees

We cut down her trees to make papers that nobody reads and complain because the birds are dying.

Humans are such babies. Crying me, me, me....I want, I need, me, me, me

Animals respect her.

What they take, they give back

An owl eats a mouse, digests it, then drops a pellet to nourish the Earth Mother

Earthworms enrich her soil

A squirrel's forgotten cache creates a new tree...and then we cut it down

But for humans, it's all about me

Sometimes I am ashamed to be human

Same. I hate the human race. I call humans "Earth's Cancer".

Beautifully written. This is how I feel so often. You've written it so well. This is depressive thinking for me.

Humans are also beautiful. Even in their disfunction, something beautiful and interesting can be discovered.

Thank you for sharing this. ((Hugs)))

Is interesting a nice way of saying destructive?

Is in inherent in being human, or is it created?

It leaves me wondering what to do. Oh sure, I have bird feeders out, and I make sure the birds have water (we are in a drought). But so what?

Maybe all the Earth Mother wants is for us to pick up a piece of litter when we see one?

I wish I had the answers
