Hi, all!

I'm Rjaye, and I have been dealing with a bipolar II diagnosis for about a year. I have had it for a long time, but was diagnosed with unipolar depression until my therapist noticed a distinct pattern between my low lows, and my angry, anxious, racing highs. Each dip or rise would screw up my life, and I have had to get deferrals on my classes.

I finally have a drug cocktail that works (Lamictal, sertraline, Risperdal, and Ritalin) and it's a little scary. I am not used to being stable, but I am getting used to being able to get things done, and have emotional responses that are appropriate.

I'm an older grad student finishing one degree and starting a social work degree, and hopefully I can finish them now without getting tripped.

I'll leave it there-there's plenty of time to talk!

Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
