So, I was reading up on medications for ADHD so that I come into my appointment prepared...

...then I found this:

On the righthand column, it says:

That means it can be administered orally, rectally, under the tongue, or through "insufflation".

Then when I look up "insufflation":

Insufflation (Latin insufflare[1] "to blow on" or "to blow into") is the act of blowing something (such as a gas, powder, or vapor) into a body cavity

lol.

So... can you imagine the drug trials for this thing? Someone had to take Adderall up the butt! (Otherwise, it wouldn't have been approved for rectal intake!) Someone also had to have Adderall powder blown up their a**. (I'm sure they tried snorting it too, but that's what most druggies do anyways.) This is why I would never sign up for a drug trial!

I wonder if anyone takes Adderall up the butt, or if they had to crush it and have the powder blown up their butt.

"Oh, excuse me... I have to go to the bathroom and stick some Adderalls up my a**hole. Hopefully they don't slide out when I laugh too much."

I think (I'm pretty sure) they mean a nasal spray. Nasal would be less descriptive, arguably: cocaine is also administered nasally, but not using a spray.

if you're looking for a stimulant med for adhd / add (which I have to) id ask your doc about vyvanse. its the only stimulant that didn't give me full blow rage for no reason. it works great for me and its next to impossible to abuse (short of taking the whole bottle). and ive been on almost every stimulant med too (with the exception of desoxyn which is meth in a pill).

yeah, i've heard a lot of good things about vyvanse, but it's also is really expensive, isn't it?

i know my pdoc has vyvanse "sample packs", but he's an a**hole and won't give me any. i'm getting my gp to prescribe me a stimulant.
