For the last week or so, I am very sensitive to any criticism. Sometimes it really is very minor. My emotions change and I get a empty feeling in my stomach and my mood dips very low.

Everything can be going well and suddenly a family member's comments seem to send my mood spiralling. I can feel very low for a long period and have intrusive and negative thoughts going on. It can be frightening and disturbing at times. I feel like crying but am unable too, I am also very quiet in myself and prefer no conversations. I have been depressed for months maybe this is just another stage. I don't like feeling this way and it happens a lot during the course of the day. I try now to avoid any disagreements or upset in the home.

Could it be the medication I am on, I am still finding a balance with them. My meds went up yesterday maybe still finding the balance is causing this rollercoaster with my emotions.

Has anyone else felt like this, if so how long does it last.

Thanks in advance

Annmaria

Well, annmaria, this is pretty-much the way the Skeezyks lives. Sure, I would suppose your med's could be causing some of this. Changing or making adjustments in med. levels can certainly cause a lot of upheaval. But it's difficult to say for certain. How long does it last? That's difficult to say too. In the Skeezyks' case, it's a permanent condition...

I agree with the Skeezyks. Med adjustments most likely are to help, but waiting for them to take effect is difficult. As far as how long it would take, that is difficult to say since it varies for each person. But if this is really affecting your quality of life, please discuss it with your pdoc if you have not already done so. I know you have been suffering and I hope you feel better sooner rather than later.

I also wanted to let you know that I was exactly where you were years ago. Someone could say something and I would just get so mad or annoyed. Tweaking the Trileptal dosage helped.

It sounds like you are in a sensitive state. I believe you should discuss what is happening with your doctor or therapist. You seem to be suffering interpersonally, and find it distressing so it's worth a discuss with a professional. (((Hugs)))
