i believe they can....!

when i was friends with laura, we sort of found 1 of my trigger words together... the word "ball"

she always had to make sure that anything bouncy was out of my reach, and i didn't have access to any place i could buy a ball, or look at pictures of balls

yeah... mention a ball, or bouncy, i'm triggered in to a mannic phase

since then, i've found other words that do the same thing

"budgie"

"tickle"

"toes"

"mummy"

"kiss"

at first i thought that maybe it was because they reminded me of happy times.. but it's not- take mummy for example, me and my family were never close- and actually talking about my family life is a huge trigger for me (in a bad way)

same with toes- i hate my body and my looks, so why toes..

but they work. their's no getting away from that. i've had plenty of good lasting mannic phases just by using those words or hearing others use them.
