dave was still young though, and he knew a life on his own would be a lonely one- but what could he do?

unless of course, he could find a way off the island- now wouldn't that be cool?

he kept thinking about that. he had it lodged in his brain

dave remembered what his mother, diana dinosaur had taught him- always look for things you can use to help you survive, always use what's around you to your advantage

so with a mighty roar that made the ground shake, dave the dinosaur was off around dinosaur island to see if he could find anything to build a boat, or even a bridge across the sea.

He wasn't a real a dyno. But an overgrown lizard in disguise.
His father, a true one, did a common backyard lizard.
Poor mother was three months in labor. But she survived, only to be eaten by a cat.

So Dave put the explosives in his pack, and went in search of more treasure. Soon he came to a river. Dave took a long cool drink and rested a bit - deciding on his next course of action.

Dave spotted something glinting in the light. Something shiny across the river. What could it be?

It was a cheese danish and a glass of milk that was left there by lawn gnomes.
The gnomes were trying to catch a human for there spring time celebration.

But alas the humans retreated too fast back to their land of safety, leaving Dave the Dinosaur behind. There would have been no space for him in their ship, given his enormous size.

Food was getting scarce on the island.

Then Dave found a tall banana tree. "OOH, food" he exclaimed to himself excitedly. But Dave wasn't quite tall enough to reach. "Now how will I get this tree lower, so I can reach the bananas," he wondered? Then he remembered the explosives! Dave took the explosives out of his pack and laid them at the foot of the tree. With a snap of his sharp claws, he was able to make a spark. He lit the explosives and ran to safety. BLAMMO! The explosives blasted. Dave ran back to the tree thinking it would have fallen down. It did more then that! It was shredded, and the lovely bananas were smashed and flung so far, he had no hope of finding a dinner from them.

Dave's thoughts were racing. Mission to space...garden gnomes...squished banana's. He needed out. He was determined. He began tearing at bark and grabbing leaves. He made his getaway raft! Goodbye Dinosaur Island...I'm opening a new chapter.
