Hello:

I've been vaping for four years. Heavy premium cigar consumer. Inhaling.
My first vapor with a very sshity equipment, and never looked back.
The incentive was to "smoke" inside the house.

I contracted emphysema from the cigar inhaling thing. lungs where in the dump. 40% capacity going down.
Last tests 68%. Doc says I can buy green bananas, hehe.
I'm not inhaling the vapor. It isn't necessary. Nic gets absorbed thru the mouth.

Anybody else vapes?.

Don't vape, never smoked, but I did inhale marijuana back in the day.

I quit vaping about three months ago. I found out the flavor I liked has the stuff that gives you 'popcorn lung' (google it if you're bored).
Anyway it's much better than regular smokes but it's definitely not 'good' for you. I breathe a lot better now that I've stopped.

Happy to hear your lungs are getting better, p!

I don't vape. I did for maybe three months a few years ago, but stopped because it was totally synthetic and I didn't know what it was doing to me. It did help me quit smoking though.

Now I just have a smoking problem. Sigh.

I was a daily marijuana smoker for 4 years. Have been clean for almost a year now to make sure my recovery went smoothly. In the process of getting my medical marijuana card this week for my ptsd. Gonna be good to have that back in my life. Looking into some nice vapes for when smoking is inconvenient throughout the day.

eLiquids don't use Diacetyl anymore.
We use the eliquid in many other things. Cosmetics, lotions, medicines and food. Check the labels for propilene glycol and vegetable glycerin. Known in the vaping world as PG/VG. You are using is and eating it.
There's great marijuana vaping equipment in the market now.
Check Fasttech.com

They do use diacetyl. Some companies have taken it out, some haven't. They aren't required to put all of the ingredients on the label.

My best bipolar friend has started vaping. She's a recovering alcoholic (recently had a bad relapse that landed her in IP/rehab for a while), so I guess she's replacing one addiction with a less-bad one.

She's really only changing the delivery method of nicotine. The most addictive substance on earth. For a safer one. 4000 chemicals to 4. I took my chances.

There's nothing better than Clean Air!!!.

Yeah it's horrible being addicted to nicotine. One time my mom told me to just stop smoking, as in cold turkey. Nicotine fits are awful. If it goes long my heart pounds and I get palipitations and my face feels like it's melting off.

For the love of god, don't start smoking!

My sweetheart, I hate to inform you that 68% of the people that quit smoking and stay clean, do it cold turkey. The most tried and true method of tobacoi cessation.
I vape because I will never stop "smoking". It entertains my hand and my mouth, besides the nic I crave. Vaping has being only 24% effective as a smoking cessation method. But still beats the sshit of the gums, pills and patches. Which produce pchycosis and suicidal ideation.

If you get into it, PM me and I'll give you a heads up, so you don't have to go thru all the sshit and expense I went thru. Luv, p

No, p. I can't do it cold turkey. I tried that once. It didn't work. It was not good. I'm not doing that again.

I quit once using the lozenge. It worked very well for me. I quit the second time using an ecig (eventually I stopped vaping, so by quit, I mean I became nicotine free). That worked well. I was just a moron and started smoking again!

I can't help it. It makes me feel better. I have a problem. This is a big problem. I have a habit. (And I'm whiny about it. lol.)

When I quit again I'm using the lozenge. I don't like vaping. It's just weird.

I've been vaping for a few months, and I no longer want cigarettes. The cough and shortness of breath are gone, and I just cut my vape nicotine level in half.

The day is coming when I will be nicotine free and vaping only blueberry, or lemon, or mint.

The company I buy from (Vaporfi) does not use diacetyl in their liquids.

I'm drunk enough to reveal my trade secrets to produce eLiquid.
a) Buy USP KOSHER Food Grade Vegetable Glycerin. 99.8% Pure.
b) Buy USP KOSHER Food Grade Propylene Glycol. 99.8%
c) Buy lor-Ann Food Flavoring. It's so edible that everybody that bakes uses it.
d) Buy nicotine from a reputable dealer. Not more than 60mg. Nic is endemic.
e) Use the eLiquid calculator.
f) Pour and stir.
Voila. eliquid to last a lifetime for peanuts.
ENJOY!!!.

I love vaping so much!
What I read is that it is not great for you, but that it is FAR better than smoking.
I am a musician/artist, and I am partner in a venue where I am program director. So I am always around night life and smoking. I HAVE to have something to do instead. From so many years of touring and being in the show environment, I am used to smoking there, and when I am there, and people are smoking, it is very hard for me not to smoke, but when I vape I don't want to, and I NEVER smoke when I am not at a show. Used to do it all the time. I feel SO much better! So so much!

My favorite flavors are black tea and honey, jasmine tea milk and honey, mint berry, and...
Get this...
I just got one that is lime-cocacola!
It's amazing!
Anyhow, I totally vape!

I did vape around 4 years ago when I tried to quit.

For me, personally, it didn't quite give the "hit" that you get when you take the first few drags.

In having said that, I know people who successfully quit vaping.

Crazy, tobacco has many other substances besides nicotine. For instance MAOIs that vapor regularly doesn't . You can order liquid with them now.
Also the temperature can be regulated much higher now if you wish with the newer equipment.
Regardless, vapor will never be like tobacco, because it doesn't kill like tobacco.

Vaping could kill like tobacco but they just don't know it yet.

In the fifties they had no idea that tobacco killed.

In the fifties they used nicotine as a pesticide. So they new.
And kept adding other poisons to make cigarettes appealing.
Specially to the paper. I'm alive because what I smoked was premium cigars.

The FDA, the most corrupt of all the "letters", is trying to pass regulation on vapor. Not because is good or bad. But because the billions and billions dollars lost in revenue. Besides, tobacco is a proven killer. Those who smoke have absolutely nothing to lose. But their life. Which is lost already.
And death ain't pretty. Gasping for air.

Agree with you Pirilin. Odd that the FDA didn't regulated tobacco for decades, not until 2009...a few years after the first e-cig arrived.

Please. please, please, don't vape in public places. It is so very disgusting and annoying to sit down for a nice dinner and the fellow sitting next to you is expelling exhaled vapour. Same goes for movie theatres and the like. If you are not permitted to smoke in a situation or location you ought not to vape either.

You can use lithium as a pesticide. It's probably not a very good pesticide, but it'll prevent infestation. You can use (some) mood stabilisers and all antipsychotics as pesticides.

I should probably only vape, but I switched back to smoking cigarettes.

I hope I'd die from cardiovascular problems before suffocating (or severe dementia).
