So at first when I got my diagnosis sheet it said that I am having a mixed episode. But on the newer one it said Mania with psychosis.
But.. I did get Mania now that I am more aware of my condition I looked up for it. But after about 3-5 days I might be fine? I do not necessary feel psychotic neither do I feel depressed? I did get a few low moments through the day.. but.. I have no clue what my question is XD
I guess I wanna ask how long are episodes? And can a mixed episode continue for a while?

length of episodes varies wildly from person to person. they can last days or they can last months. I've had mixed episodes go for 3-4 months at a time in the past.

Thanks! One more question though mixed episodes are when you get both Mania and Depression in the same time or in the same day?

same time, mine can kinda seem like rapid cycling with each side lasting about a few minutes, or an all out wash of the two together.

I've been through mixed episodes numerous times. In me, they can last up to a few months. Fortunately, medication has helped with the length of mixed episodes. A lot of tweaking with meds usually happens during this time, and it does help make a difference. Before I was formally diagnosed, I had my longest mixed episode for about 6 months straight. I really didn't think I'd live through it. I didn't know what was happening to me, and it was hell. However, reading more about mixed episodes helped me a great deal to understand what was going on with me.

It really varies from person to person, even with symptoms. Definitely try to stay in close contact with your doctor during this time. You may have to go through some med changes before they get it "right" (at least for the time being while in the mixed state), but hopefully you'll find some relief soon. Maybe you will feel different in a few days...it could for some. Also, don't hesitate to use your support system at this time, whether it be here, with a counselor, or someone you trust who could help look out for you. Hugs!!

Mixed episodes are pure hell on earth, As already said ,, they can last a few days to weeks to months . best thing to do is keep in touch with your T and Pdoc, Med changes can help.

Few years ago I was in mixed helll... I literally was on my bathroom floor scrubbing with a toothbrush and bawling my eyes out exhausted but there was no way I could even lay down for more than 5 mins.

Hope you are feeling better soon
