A commuter train car is loaded to the max, but the train car at the end (the caboose?) suddenly snaps off the back of the train. Luckily, it doesn't derail.
The caboose is still traveling at a decent speed, but it slowly comes to a stop. All 50 people on board are relieved. Unfortunately, no one notices that the caboose has detached from the rest of the train, not even the train monitor, who is in charge of monitoring all the train activity. Next thing we know, the train monitor unknowingly sends another train on the same tracks. (Remember: he doesn't know that the caboose has broken off.) This train is empty except for one person: the most important person in your life. (This could father, grandfather, sister, brother, etc.) As another train monitor, you notice this right away, but you cannot get in contact with the conductor of the traveling train. All attempts at contact have failed. You then notice that you can possibly save these 50 stranded passengers. You can redirect the speeding train down another set of tracks that goes across a bridge right over a wide river... but unfortunately, those tracks are not finished... and if you send the train down this set of tracks, the most important person in your life will drown in the river. If you send this train to hit the 50 stranded passengers, it will cause the train to explode and only the most important person in your life will survive. What would you do? Send the train into the river, or save the 50 passengers? |

The right thing to do is save the 50. In my case, I'd save the one. It would be a knee jerk reaction for me I think. I could be wrong though, I might do nothing and just go out for tacos.

I like the "do nothing and get tacos" idea. Watch everyone burn.
I could go for some chicken tacos right now... mmm |

Avoiding trains is my hobby. Specially after I rode one with no driver. In great heights. No thanks.
