What are some good stress relievers for you?

I know this sounds weird, but I like to throw rocks... usually tiny pebbles. It's also fun skipping them across the pond, ocean, lake, river, whatever. It lets me get my anger and frustrations out. Same thing with kicking rocks around.

I also to stretch as a means of relieving stress. Is that weird? Stretching builds up tension, and when that tension is released, it's soothing. IDK.

Another thing I like to do is take a shower
Thanks for this!

Pilates is my main stress reliever.

I live at the top of a 1500' winding mountain road. I always feel better if I can get myself on my bike to do a mad descent. The curves are challenging and fun. Then the climb back up is meditative as I grind along.

The problem is, I can't always convince myself that I want to go.

Wow, that sounds super fun. I would bike around here, but I'm afraid of getting run over by a car. Too many horror stories here. So I'd have to travel pretty far just to bike

I actually used to bike down mountains. That was awesome.

Personally, I would love to go biking in the Arizona canyons. I've hiked them and they're beautiful.

Just taking a walk is helpful. I miss doing yoga, though. I would like to take it up again if I can put my body through it.
Thanks for this!

Random art projects whether it's drawing something with oil pastels, watercolor, mod podge or painting... Love it. I'm going to start on a quilt soon.

I used to drink but that didn't really work that well...and it got out of hand.

Used to get some relief from smoking cigarettes but I quit three weeks ago. Ugh lol

I like to read if my mindset is right. If I'm too hyper, it's a no go. Otherwise I can escape in a book for hours. The library is across the street and I love going and leaving with a pile of books. Years ago, that would have been me leaving Barnes&Noble $700 lighter in my wallet.

I love an ocean view condo on the beach. I'm not into tanning but staring out into the ocean is very calming to me.

Hot baths.

My boyfriend gives the best hugs! Helps every time.

Congrats in the stop smoking. You're almost there. Then comes a period when you think you can have one once in a while. DON'T!!!.

Watching sea otters (either in person or through a live cam at the Monterey Bay Aquarium), taking long walks, listening to the ocean crashing onto the sand.
Thanks for this!

Did you see the mama otter give birth right in the aquarium tide pool a couple months ago? It was amazing!

Smoking, I know horrible. Going to my art group. Hanging out with family. Sleeping. I used to be so active until my back injury and then shortly after that my psychosis. Hope to get walking just a little bit here soon.

Music, or being bad and having a drink. But alcohol now just makes me sleepy, so I am thinking about quitting for good. Last bottle I poured down the drain. May do that again, I don't know.

I find reading relaxing if I can get into the book.

Taking a bath/shower is usually helpful.

Oh and I love talking to my best friend, he always makes me feel good

Listening to music, petting my car, coloring, watching TV (non triggering shows), sitting outside, taking deep breaths, taking a hot shower.
