I didn't get the job I did the demo lesson for a month ago, but I had a second interview for another job today and they loved me! I'm being put through for a third interview with the superintendent. The special Ed director basically said just do what I did today in the interview and I should be good. I might actually get a new job!!!

This job would be so different from what I have been doing but it would be SO much better. It's still special education, but it would be sixth grade. I student taught sixth grade and loved them (the whole experience was horrible but not because of the students, because my cooperating teacher was a *****). I know how to handle sixth graders. And I've basically been teaching on a middle school level anyway since my high schoolers are so low functioning. And, I would be teaching some resource room and some inclusion classes, so I would be working with the general education language arts teacher part of the day.

And best of all, this is not a behavioral program. I might actually get through a day without being cursed at and told to **** off!!! I really feel like this would be sooooo much better for my mental health. It is so stressful dealing with the behaviors I've been dealing with for four years. I really feel it has contributed to the severity of my depressions. It would be so nice to actually get some respect.

Plus if they are little jerks I know how to handle it lol.

So send me good vibes! Wish me good luck on the third interview!

As my 2 year old niece would say, I'm "ca-cited!"!!! This job sounds so much better.

My mom was a 6th grade teacher for many years and loved it best (she taught K-4, 6, and reading resouce rooms over 35 years).

When is the 3rd interview?
