I was due to be paid today. I just went to pay bills and I have $.56 in my account. It usually credits overnight the day it is due so it's about 24 hours late. It's not even pending. Just nothing.

I am completely panicked since I can't call social security until morning. I should have paid bills this morning. I was busy with other things and it didn't matter so much.

Now it matters. A lot.

I cannot come up with a GOOD reason why I didn't get my check......

Yes, but it turned out my reason was a change of address that I never did caused me to be cut off for a month, they have since re-instated me, but it was a weird week until I got the address changed to my current one.

I hope you find out the reason why yours didn't come very soon. Sending you warm thoughts.

I haven't moved so that's not it. Nothing has changed at all that I know of. I guess I just needed a little extra stress . It sounds like my local office can probably help in the morning.

I'm not sure how it is there but I have to check in every now and then to confirm I'm still here and my status hasn't changed. You are right to call. It could just be a data entry error. Myself, my quarterly tax rebate cheque got screwed up. It seemed my account was erronously flagged. It was a damn good thing I called.

Mine was late this month. I checked before i went to bed, after midnight, but during "my" week, and same as you, not posted, not pending, nothing. But it was there by morning. I would guess a new computer system went in.

I used to think sometimes mine was late when I would get it a couple days later than the previous month...then I realized it comes on time every month. It comes the third Wednesday of each month (your day maybe different) regardless of the actual date. Is it possible this is what happened to you?

I thought all social security checks came on the 1st or the 3rd? SSI on the 1st and SSDI on the third?

My late husband's SSDI came on the 3rd, his SSI came on or around the 28th.

I get paid the 3rd Wed so it should have been there Wed. but that was yesterday and it didn't come until sometime overnight. Usually it is there around midnight Wednesday morning but this time not until sometime after 11 or 12. But it's here, so that's all that matters.

I read this thread last week and got worried about my husbands ssdi check for this week.
He is scheduled for 4th weds of every month.

He got his check. My kids each get some money too. 1 kid got his money and the other didnt.
Nothing pending. What ended up happening with you guys? This is the first time this ever happened.
Do i have to call someone?

This thread is odd, because I never get my SS the same day each month... and it's due on the 3rd of the month. It often comes early, which is nice.

I would probably call the bank to start. If SOME of the peoples money came thru, then ALL should have come thru for the same day, unless they know a reason. Then i would contact soc sec.

So it was an issue with social security. They sent a letter to an address we lived at 3 years ago so say i have to prove how my sons money is being spent.
I never got the letter, so his check is at the local office. I can get it tomorrow at 9am.
But they scheduled me an appointment in 3 weeks to bring in receipts.
I am just going to bring in daycare receipts. He gets $241 a month and i pay $600 per month for each kid. So that is where it goes to.
Has anyone else had to do this for a child getting benefits?

Just a suggestion, you may want to start a new topic with that question. I'm not sure you'll pick up as many responses on this thread as you might one for the topic. Just a guess, but I know I personally can't help on that but know others might who probably aren't reading this.
