I think it went well. I spent two hours with the Doctor describing my history and my current episode. He started me off on Seroquel. 50mg to start then up another 50mg in a week or so. I'll see the psychiatric nurse at the bipolar clinic in July to see how it's working then I'll see a psychologist at the clinic for more psychological testing to see if I have any other psychological issues along with my BPD that need to be addressed. After that I'll go back to the Pdoc. Hopefully all this will happen within a 2-3 month time period, but there are waiting lists so it could be longer.

Also, Anyone have any advice or experiences to share about Seroquel?

No advise on seroquel. I have 25mg tablets I use for sleeping as needed, but no other experience.

Congrats on finally getting in to see your doctor. I'm glad it went well and I hope the medication works for you. 2-3 months is a long wait for your next appointment so I'm sorry about that part, it sucks I hope you can be well enough to manage during this time. (((Hugs)))

Glad you got in to see the doctor. Seroquel worked as far as getting rid of my mania, but I was taking 80mg at the end, and I had no emotions. I was flat. Plus I gained 60 pounds. Definitely watch your eating habits, and make sure you exercise while taking it.

I was taking 800mg of Seroquel, not 80mg

So so so happy to hear you are getting needed help!!! I was on 300mg of sereoquel and it was not great. But the first step is getting well, finding a longer term medication(s) takes time!
Best of luck with everything!!!
