Do you like to go shopping?

Normally I don't shop a lot. Not really my thing... but man, when I'm hypo/manic, I do impulsive shopping! Like, one time I was hypo and saw a pretty guitar in the window of a shop in an outdoor shopping mall. I was like, "Oooo. I must has! I must HAS." So I bought it... along with a case and other accessories.

Total damage: $1000
Shopping

To this day, I do not know how to play the guitar. it's been sitting in my room, but one day... one day... I will learn. Maybe YouTube will help me do it.

Are any of you impulsive shoppers when hypo/manic? If so, how impulsive?

I've never been one to go on clothing or other smaller sprees. Instead when I am manic I have spent a great deal of money on major sprees. Like a Jeep and trailer, $5000 on kayaks and equipment - and I had never ever kayaked before that time a great deal of money on outdoor gear, and several major holidays.

I love kayaking. I would totally take that kayak from you, as I don't have one myself!

But seriously, you should go kayaking if you haven't already. It's amazing. I've gone out kayaking in Tampa Bay... incredible. I want to go to Alaska next. Look up pictures of kayaking in Alaska.

Got Fender Strato, very hard to find in purple. Big Marshall amp. All I want to play is the riff of Smoke on the Water.
Tum Tum Tum.....TuTuTUTum.........Tum Tum Tumtumta.
If Deep Purple is waiting for my riff, they better lay down, 'cause it ain't coming.

I'm a spend-a-Holic. My spending is out of control and pathological. If I don't curb it soon, I will lose my house and have to figure out how to store my hundred pairs of shoes and purses and other junk in my new cardboard box home.

I grew up with a mom that shopped when manic. She put herself into serious debt and had to refinance her home. She's old now but still likes to shop but now it's at thrift shops. That way she still gets her fix but no damage.

I will make large contributions to (mostly) religious charities or I will buy needless clothes and accessories for my children and me, all of which we cannot afford. I am otherwise frugal.
