Has anyone had an IP experience where the food was actually DECENT? I remember that as part of my fond experience with IP. I actually had a good experience, and the food was pretty good, too (they accommodated my vegetarian diet).
I'm guessing it's not like that everywhere you go. Maybe everyone should ask for vegetarian food. ![]()

Yes. The food at my hospital used to be bad but the last 2 times they had a much bigger menu and there are good things on it. I was really glad that they changed; it used to be about a 4 day rotation with only 2 choices which is hard when you are in for 2 weeks. The new menu has many options and I wasn't bored with it at all in 2 weeks.
They actually had completely yummy mashed sweet potatoes. I had them at least once a day and kind of missed them when I got home.

Yes my last hospitalization was very good food. I ate healthy but ate like a pig. It was really good. It's better than my diet now that's for sure!

My local hospital has yummy food! I wasn't IP, but I was in an outpatient program and we were served lunch everyday. Everyone in the group would order as much as they could fit on the tray and we'd say our leftovers for a late afternoon snack. It was one of my favorite parts of the program.

The best food I've had IP was raisin bran. That's not a lie.

The hospital I go to has mostly excellent food with good vegetarian options (although more limited than regular menu). I miss not having to cook for myself when I get home and the meals I make are more boring than the hospital so I miss the food too.

The only good thing about my visits has been the food. I'm usually not hungry when IP, but one time, the food was so good, I did nothing all day but think about the next feeding. It was homeade meals like my mom or I would cook. That was comforting for the time it took to scarf it down. I can't remember what the meals were, just that I really enjoyed them.

The one I usually go to has decent food. Definitely not five star gourmet but good enough. And when you get grounds privileges and get to go to the cafeteria, you can get a fresh salad and rolls. And fresh sandwiches for lunch. So it's pretty good.

Yeah, the inpatient facility near my county had excellent food, despite there being a lack of sweets during our meals. We had delicious meatball subs, burgers, chicken, soups, salads, chocolate milk (the only sweet thing haha), and fresh fruits.

My last IP had awesome food and let us go to the cafeteria to eat. The food was prepared fresh every day. I must admit, a few of us ladies gained a few pounds there lol. But I needed it. That and the smoke breaks they let us have lol

Dunno the hospital. But in jail is terrible. The patty is full of veins and God knows what.
The beans spilled all over the tray. I gave it away to the body builders. Mainly because I knew I would get out within the day. Also for protection. Piri is crazy, not stupid.

They fed us very well at my hospital. We had great big breakfasts, lots of soup and sandwiches for lunch, and while we only had two meal choices at dinner, they were always tasty. They also brought out bedtime snacks around 8 PM. I gained three pounds in there and was never hungry, if that gives you any idea of how good and plentiful the food was.
