I want to start off by saying I'm not trying to promote this method, but I've been lying awake in bed for hours in an anxiety ridden state. Hours ago my body told me I was tired and it was time for bed. Fantastic. A good amount of rest always makes me feel better the next day. But if I don't get my body to sleep right away, I'm awake for hours with a rush of anxiety running through my body and gooed up mashed potato thoughouts in my head that don't make any coherent sense. Sometimes a drink helps ease some of this and so here I am with a drink. But I don't want to have to lean on alcohol as a solution. And cheese... well that can become potentially dangerous too.

Welcome and hello to you. I used to use alcohol to self medicate and for awhile, it worked ok for me. Be careful with the alcohol as it can make things worse in the long run.
I'm sorry you are having trouble sleeping and with coherent thoughts. i hope you feel better soon. (((Hugs))) |
