I was really concerned my brain wouldn't work right after last years extensive ECT treatments.
I've been studying for my Real Estate license renewal. All of my recent test scores are 90% and above. Yay! It's very dry material with tons of reading,so I'm glad to report that I have comprehensive and memory skills back to normal. I don't ever want ECT again. Do you have an experience with ECT to share?

I have been having ECT for a little over a year now (with a hiatus in the winter). I have found that ECT impacted my sense of pattern and navigation. It is borne out by scientific examination of the electrode placement. These are the parts of the brain in which music appreciation and geographic navigation reside. I used to always have music going, now prefer silence. I used to be excellent and finding my way, now get lost in regions I've traveled hundreds of times. These two aspects of ECT have been more disturbing than the actual memory issues, though those exist, as well.

No, no ECT experience here, but I just want to say it's awesome that you're feeling better! Congrats on earning high scores on everything.
It sounds like ECT isn't the right thing for you. |
