I think the best part of BP is being a raging (sometimes happy) lunatic. I enjoy being batshit crazy

I also like when I'm super productive. That's pretty good.

When I'm depressed, I catch up on all my sleep even though I feel suicidal. Sleep is nice.

But what do you think is the best part of being BP? We need some positivity around here.

I feel like people feel like they can confide in me and connect on a deeper level because I've "been there, done that."

I also feel like when I'm hypo (not too much, just a little) that I'm more radiant and vibrant and I inspire people. Best part of being BP

I can get away with most everything. I'm always right. Is the world that is wrong.
No shame in anything. The wild wild west. It's me against 'em.
Everybody knows I'm crazy. Some respect, others fear me. In any event, THE WORLD IS MINE.

Hypomania is the best thing. I'm sleeping 18 hours due to pain and sickness right now. I would give anything for a hypomanic episode to hit me right between the eyes and take me on an epic adventure of pain free positivity. Feeling like superman, energy to spare, only needing a few hours of sleep, self-esteem on high. Yes please, sign me up!

That hypomanic state when you love the whole world and know everyone loves you.

I enjoy having no filter, before I used to be so shy and embarrassed, always worrying about what people would say and think, now I give no f**ks, it's refreshing! I also enjoy losing my **** and getting angry, for years I was bullied by my dad and my brother, now letting loose my pent up rage is awesome!

I love to see positive thread like this!

Creativity is a huge thing of mine, in the past it's made me an artist, a writer, a performer.... Normally I'm your standard shy girl just trying to sail through life but when that creativity hits I count that as one of my blessings

Honestly, sometimes I just thoroughly enjoy the madness. I don't know who I would be without it ya know.. It never leaves a dull moment in life that's for damn sure.

I too think that I'm more empathetic and people know I don't judge. I pretty much have a good listening ear and also I can read people really well. I'm the person that people call when they need help.

That super confident feeling when I'm hypo... I love everyone, I'm super productive -- it's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't waste time sleeping!

I think for me it is that I'm more creative during periods of times, and like you said, being able to get a lot accomplished. For instance, I feel some of my hypomanic symptoms contributed to my success in graduating from college. I do not like to glorify hypomania, but the increased confidence during that time and boost of energy have been helpful with different tasks.

i think another good thing about it is their are so many famous people with bipolar, who have made a life for themselves- and are an inspiration for other people with the condition

you don't get that with every condition out their.. sometimes it's hard to find someone to relate to

Richard Kuklinsky, better known as Da Iceman, had bipolar.
I don't know why he's never recognized or prized for the social work he did.

The way food tastes when I am manic.
I once ate an orange while manic. It exploded with taste, like all of the flavour of the universe was in that single orange.

The most "fun" part of bipolar is definitely mania. Thinking that a random guy is possessed by demons, the feeling that you have achieved everything there is to achieve. That's right, on top of the world... Until you realize you've pushed away all your friends and you're surely not making any new ones. Oh no, this was supposed to be positive.

Feeling like I've plugged my body into an electric socket, with currents of energy flowing through me. I get this sort of vibrating current in my body which is very pleasant

I'm not so keen on the BSC part of BP, but I do like when I feel more productive.

I like hypomania more because I get stuff done. My sleep is better when I'm depressed, though.
