Does anyone else feel back-and-forth about trusting certain people in your life? I sometimes feel confident that I can trust certain people, and other times I'm not so sure they won't stab me in the back. It seems to be a mood swing thing for me. It's not so severe that I'm "paranoid," per se, but it does cause me some anxiety. I also obsess about people getting mad at me. I'm hoping this will get better soon. My pdoc is still adjusting my meds and I've just come off Latuda quickly after being on it for 3 or so years.

P.S. There are plenty of people in my life who I know I can trust, without a doubt. It's just certain people whose loyalty I question.

I feel that way about people too, even the ones I should be able to trust with out a doubt, and for me does border on if not go into paranoia. You're not alone in this.

And I hope this starts to get better for you soon. Hugs

Constantly. Sometimes when the paranoid panic attacks hit I won't even trust my wife.

Yeah, sometimes I get this way too. Like you, it depends on my mood.

Sorry you get this way, but I can certainly relate on the trust thing.

The only person I trust in life is my mother. That is all.

I struggle with this all the time. I have had to work out a "code" way to ask one friend for reassurance because I start to not trust him and then turn it into a big deal when it is absolutely not. I think I trust my therapist pretty well now but that's an 11 year relationship. I trust my pdoc greatly but still struggle if I'm not doing well and feel like I'm bothering her (which she makes clear I am not). I think I'll be working on trust all of my life, some bipolar related, some PTSD.

Trust is a major issue for me. Didn't used to be but too many episodes of paranoia has left its mark.

I have a hard time trusting people. Currently I only trust my spouse. I just had a lot of bad experiences with others and it's hard to get over that.

Does anyone else feel back-and-forth about trusting certain people in your life? My poor husband deals with this. It didn't use to be like that but as time goes on my paranoia of him gets worse.

Yes, I'm currently struggling with this and see it as a problem that arises often. I'm trying to differentiate and figure out if it only happens when im in a mood episode but im not sure.

There are some people in my life that can only be trusted so far.... and these people are also the kind that are so self-invested that it's frightening. So there are people in my life I only trust a little bit, and a very few I trust completely.
