Very disappointed at the site.
I'm supposed to be a MENSA member (well, not really) And my IQ is 114 now.
I had 142 at one point but was tested differently.
Is there anything more serious than this?. I don't want to go all over the net looking for my 142. THANK YOU for reading.

I've never had an official IQ test. I'm a genius and I won't let anyone tell me different. It's not what others think that matter, it's what you think. If I were you, I'd just assume the test with the 142 result was the accurate one. If you are feeling bad about your intelligence, find some 5 year olds and play some scrabble with them. You'll kick there butts with that 142 IQ! There are also some games which are suppose to build your brain functioning, you can try them if you are feeling dull. I think you are a pretty clever guy.

IQ tests are dumb. I did 2 of them. First was WAIS-IV; second WASI-II (which is a brief version of WAIS-IV).

I earned very high scores on both, but I think that's because I figured out how to game the system.

Essentially, I quickly realized that the same information or same tests tend to be presented 3 times in 3 different ways. If you can figure out the pattern of presentation, then you're pretty much guaranteed to get correct answers with ease. I think that artificially inflates your overall score, as it's not testing your intelligence per se; it's testing your attention to detail.

Also, the vocabulary section is BS because it, too, can artificially inflate your overall score. I literally knew every single word that was presented to me, but that's because I got lucky. If they picked different words, I could have easily "earned" a substantially lower IQ for that section.

Sooooo, yeah... I think my intelligence is lower than what my IQ test suggests -- hence IQ tests are dumb.
