after speaking to someone yesterday who was living with someone really messy... i got to thinking, how clean in general is your house?
this guy i was talking too lived with his family- and they left ffood on the floor, let the dog poop where ever it wanted too, have clothes strewn all over the floor.. and this is from people eeven without MI issues so, what about you? are you in general a messy person, or do you try and clear up after you? with me, i think it's a mixture of the 2 i personally don't clean the house as often as i should (things like vacume, put stuff away, etc), but then i live alone and so i don't particularly care 1 thing i do avoid though is leaving things randomly on the floor.. peaces of food, stuffed toys, etc- of course sometimes i just leave my clothes in a heap on the floor in the corner, but that's as far as it goes your turn |

It is clean and orderly. OCD-related plus hypomanic states get the credit.

I used to be a neat freak but my meds have entirely stripped away all my motivation to do anything, so it is quite dirty here now. Also my wife has some issue with seeing any free space anywhere, so she has to fill up every single space with something, it is very frustrating.

Clean but cluttered. Stuff everywhere but it's not dirty, it's just messy. But no food or poo or dirt lying around.

Rather cluttered than messy. Too messy to allow ranom visitors without cleaning up beforehands. It gets almost perfect at times of mania though and gets awful at times of deep depression.

My flat is almost always clean and tidy. Not over the top though. I only vacuume fortnightly or even less often but the place is ready for guests most of the time. When I get hypo the place is sparkling. When depressed I am more slack but usually still keep it reasonable. The agitation helps with that as I can't sit still.

Definitely cluttered and messy but no food or poo on the floors. It bothers me but not enough to do something about it I guess

I find hairballs from my cats. I clean those up as I find them. It's inevitable. I have 118 lbs of "cat" in my house lol

Right now it's filthy because I've been so busy, I haven't had the time to do anything. It looks like it does when I'm depressed, but that's just from neglect. This time it's from lack of time because I'm in and out so much, it's difficult to clean up. Hopefully I can get some done this afternoon. At least in the kitchen.

I thought about getting another cat. I was going to go to that Clear the Shelters event at one of the local shelters. However, my cat was really working my nerves that morning and she killed the desire to go that afternoon. She's enough for me anyway.

My place is a mess. I just lack motivation. No dirty dishes but I have 3 cats and haven't vacuumed in awhile. Carpet needs it bad. But it hurts to do bc of my back so I keep putting it off...ugh!

My place is alright. It's a big house so we have to clean in sections. The kitchen can use some sprucing up and the carpet needs vacuuming, but it's okay for now.
And I know the thing about cats. I have two and they're both shedding like crazy. |
