Is it possible for me to delete an old thread I started? I'm thinking someone in RL may join and some of the things I have posted were too personal and I'd like to remove a thread or two. Sorry for posting this here. I didn't know who else to ask.

Thanks!

i'm responding based on what i've read when this question has been asked before

from what i understand, you can't delete your own thread- however you can report your post and in the comments section say you want it deleted

think it's only a few times you can do it though... 2... possibly 3?
Thanks for this!

This is a good question. I don't know. Can you ask a moderator to have it deleted. I did that once and they deleted it.

I overshare too. Way too much.

How do you "report it"? I can't see anything to click for that. Thanks!

It wouldn't be an issue if I didn't want to encourage someone from RL to be on here. I just don't want him/her to go back and look at my old posts and see one particular thing that was very personal. :-/

Isn't that why we're here? To share everything?

I've run into the same concern at times.

Yeah. I suppose so. lol. But I still share way too much. I can't stop sharing. I keep on telling myself not to share... but then I do!

I'm not worried about anyone finding out who I am. No one's going to know who I am. There's tons of Sarah's in the world.

I'm sure they're not going to know who you really are anyway. Unless you told them your user name.

I've asked to have a post deleted in the past because it was causing me stress and anxiety after I put it out there. It was important for me to be able to 'say out loud' at least once in my life, but then I got really worried that someone I know in real life (maybe my spouse?) might figure out that I'm on here and look through to find my account. It was too stressful to keep worrying about it, so I requested that moderators delete the thread, and they did. I do remember there being a limit to the number of times you could do that, though.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
