I'm having a serious freak out.

I don't have insurance. I don't have a job!

I don't know how I'm going to pay for my meds next month.

I'm on all generics. The only two I really care about are gabapentin and lamictal. I'm on 600mg gabapentin four times a day, and 200mg of lamictal twice a day.

I just looked up how much it'll potentially be, and holy ****! It could potentially be over one hundred dollars.

I'm under a six month court order to be med compliant.

Oh my god.

Fetal position.

Visit goodrx.com and print a discount card if you haven't already. You can price out your meds on there too. ((((hugs))))

Does your state have a program? Here in MA we have mass health which you would be eligible for

Yeah. I applied for state insurance. For whatever reason they want our last pay stubs (I don't know why. I don't have a job), and I'm just waiting for my husband to get his last check. I wish it would hurry up. I have a doctor's appointment on monday. I need insurance now.

Oh, and actually my caseworker called me today because she wanted to talk to me about my commitment. I just didn't get the message until now because I don't have any reception out here. Good timing. Calling tomorrow! I can freak out on the phone while I'm talking to her.

Jeez. Since I'm stuck doing this six month thing you'd think they'd pay for it. I can't go off this ****. They'll throw me in prison (aka psych ward).

Prescription Prices, Coupons & Pharmacy Information - GoodRx lets you compare prices and get coupons for drugs at different stores. If a club is the best price at least here the pharmacy is open to you without paying membership.

Rx Outreach | Patient Assistance Program, Discount Prescription Drugs has meds at a HUGE discount. I used them a ton when I wasn't insured and sometimes it was 3 months for less than 1 month elsewhere. You can go there and search for prices.

www.xubec.com is like rxoutreach but I didn't find it at good.

Compare discount cards. They vary a lot. This is the one I found best 4 years ago corporate-partners-agelity - NCCS

When dealing with medicaid make sure they know your paystub is not current. Really emphasize it (at least here everything gets lost in the shuffle with medicaid) but I know when I applied they needed my stub even though it wasn't accurate anymore. I went from income to nothing and they got me approved quickly. But I think I wrote on the paystub I sent in that it wasn't accurate. Be aggressive with medicaid. Polite but be ready to keep them on track. My old county I never had a problem; here I've had nothing but problems no matter what I do.

I hope you are able to talk to the caseworker tomorrow.

I have more prescription things around here somewhere but my mom has moved it. *I* need that paper but if anything on there looks like it might help you I'll let you know. I hate when she helps me clean and then things are missing. I'm missing 2 papers right now and keep forgetting to ask at the right times. I have to start finding out about another med since one I've been getting free from patient assistance is no longer free and I have to replace it. I really wish I knew where that letter was...going to bother me now.

I hope you figure it out Raspberry, I am looking at how much my meds will cost after I change insurances and it is definitely anxiety producing. It does not seem fair that they can order you to be med compliant, but the meds are financially out of reach.

Okay. Talked to person today. My meds for this month will be paid for, and then hopefully my state insurance will kick in before next month.
