I know it's different for everyone and it all depends on the lithium level but I was wondering generally about what dosage should I stop cycling? Or rather should being on 300 twice a day be preventing me from cycling from a depression into some form of mania that I feel right now.

It started yesterday when I stopped feeling depressed, then at night the music I here and radio voices came back. I woke up at 4am ready for the day. Today has been euphoric and I really feel it in my body, kind of like a tingly melting feeling.

So I guess I'm wondering what dose I need to be at to stop the cycling and how long it will take to get there.

It depends on the person, I was on as much as 900 to keep mania down and I was still rapid for everything. It takes a couple days for the full effects, please talk to your pdoc about the change you might need to up your dosage.

It took about 3 weeks to fully work for me. I increased it to 1200mg because I was cycling and the cycles were still pretty intense. The BP cycles never really went away though. They just aren't as bad as when I was unmedicated. Make sure you give it time for the Lithium to kick in. Unfortunately, it it not instantaneous.

The dose is relative to blood level too. It took three or four weeks to feel full benefits.
