My T, pdoc and husband mainly. I have a few friends who know I'm bipolar but I don't ask much from them since they're really busy. And my family is nearly non-existent.

Like Fharraige, I have friends who know, but I ask little of them. I rely on the professionals, though I often present myself better than I am to my T.

My mother. She calls me every day at 4:00PM on the dot.
Which wouldn't be a great feat for a younger mother. Only she's 102 yrs old.

I am so lucky to have a good support system. I have a excellent psyciatrist who would go the extra mile for her patients and not just prescribe meds. My family and partner is also very supportive altough they don’t always understand the dynamics of Bipolar they are always there for me.

Psychiatrist, therapist and my parents. I have supportive friends but they are usually too busy to even chat to me on the phone. No partner. Feel lonely at 40.

None really. I do have my wife but when it comes to BP or any other MI she has very little to say or support to offer. In my entire life nobody has tried to understand me and it just makes me sink deeper.

I have my parents, though I never talk to them about bipolar. But I've been known to call them up when I'm depressed and make plans just so I can get out of house. I have my son, who is as helpful as a 10yo can be. Then there's my pdoc.

I have my therapist, my Pdoc, my spouse, my mom and my kids. Also some great friends who really care about me. I am lucky. I am also a $&*t when I do dumb things and impact them.

Husband is number 1 support. Comes to every appointment, is learning dbt with me, checks on my mood/paranoia everyday, communicates concerns separately to drs. Hes amazing. I owe my life to him.
Second is my bff. But she has mental illnesses which puts her at a distance sometimes.
And then my mom, who just moved 600 miles to be close to me to help us thru this hard time.
And of course my t & pdoc are only a text away at all times.

Psychiatrist, therapist, and family, even though my family really doesn't understand bipolar at all and why I have all these appointments to go to, they're the sweep mental illness under the rug types...
