Hi all,

I am on 300mg of Seroquel XR, taken before bed, and it kills my sex drive. I'm not sure whether this is due to the sedation or the medication itself, but it is negatively impacting my partner's and my sex life. My partner cannot enjoy intercourse with me if he feels that I am not enjoying it.

I've been looking online for solutions but I can't find anything (only people saying that they have a problem, or articles saying that it can be a problem, but no actual advice in how to resolve it).

Has anyone else been through the same thing, or can offer me practical advice?

Hello custard_powder: I'm sorry you have encountered this problem. The Skeezyks can't really be of any help. It's been many years since I had any sex drive at all. But I saw that no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would.

I do think that the antidepressants I took were a part of what killed off my libido years ago. Unfortunately, I imagine the reason you haven't been able to find any solutions to the problem is that there really isn't one other than to reduce or go off of the medication you're on. You could, perhaps try a different med. A different one may or may not be any better in this regard. Perhaps other members, here on PC, will yet reply with some better suggestions.
