Hello everyone! I haven't been on in a while because I have been hypomanic and I've been wide open running the roads! I do have some questions. I've been hypomanic before in my life. I do back and forth between that and depression (I didn't realize until I learned and started being seen for bipolar) but this has been the worst by far in about three years!! I want to list how I've been feeling and see if others experience what I have this go around and what I use to feel years ago.... anyways, here it goes...
Hyped
feeling like I need to go go go
pacing floors
trying to stat business / go back to school
trying to find jobs
hyped sex drive
feel like I want other men not just my husband ( I didn't act upon that tho)
dropping kids off at grandparents to go shopping
sex sex sex on the brain
want to drink again (I don't anymore and haven't acted upon this but its SOOOOOOO hard)
I feel like I am going to give in to my temptations and I'm nervous! Hopefully it doesn't last any longer. I called doctor three times and he said to keep taking Depakote and he'll up abilify. So we shall see how it goes! Anyone else have the same symptoms I do??????????

Thanks for your reply. I have had these before during hypomanic episodes but the desire is just deeper this time as it has been years before if that makes any sense. Over the past couple of years I can work out, walk, or something to help myself but my desire this time is just deep!!! ugh.

Yup sounds like hypomania to me. I had my last episode in May/June. Cycling into depression now (as always follows). Unfortunately I don't have any good advice for you... still haven't learned how to cope with my hypos in a constructive way. I generally uproot my life and make questionable choices... good luck to you.

Hi, it's good to see you! Are you type 1 or type 2? Any psychotic symptoms?

That's good that you are able to resist all the temptations. If you are type 1 and are sleeping Very little I'd force myself to call my pdoc. You might be on the cusp of mania, but that's just my layperson's perspective/experience.

Give your checkbook and the credit cards to hubby if you want to shop.

Keep us posted. Thinking of you.
