If there was an app for your IPhone or Android device that talked you through using your skills, would you use it?
For example a situation arose that was threatening to put you in crisis, you open the application and are prompted by Siri or whatever the Google equivalent is, to explain your situation. The application would then guide you through using some of your CBT or DBT skills. Maybe it is radically accepting the prompting event, or maybe it is challenging the negative core belief, identifying the cognitive distortion.
I foresee measuring your anxiety level at the onset of the situation, and then reassessing after some of the skills have been put to use.

I know for me it is hard to even remember what my skills are when I am ramping up, let alone put them into use. I also know that on those rare occasions that I do use my skills it really helps me to acknowledge any sort of progress I have made in diminishing my anxiety levels.

Yes. I feel a great need to report situations immediately afterwards to trusted people bc within 15 minutes my brain will distort the memory. For now my T says, just write it down, then reread. Good old pen and paper! Hello, child of the 70s.
