Uhh it's coming back. I thought I was passed this. My mind is racing thinking of how bad I'll look performing moves. How fat I look in the mirror. What if I mess up. Someone help.

All is vanity. The only person who is looking at yourself in the mirror is you, confirming and reassuring yourself in your alignment. The only way you'll get better is to mess up. You gotta go.
Thanks for this!

Everyone in your class is at a different point in their martial arts journey. Everyone is there to learn. I had a lot of anxiety in my class recently, primarily from comparing myself to others in my class with the same belt rank. My husband was very helpful, letting me know that the people I was comparing myself to had studied in different art forms for YEARS before coming to the form we practice together. I helped me to recalibrate my sense of expectation for myself - I don't go there to be perfect, or to be better than others. I go to learn and to improve. I will do things wrong; I will do things wrong that I think I should have mastered years ago. If I didn't make mistakes, there would be no point to me going to class - I wouldn't need to study the art if I knew how to do it all perfectly already. My instructor will correct me where he sees a need for improvement, and that is just one more step on my journey.

Go to your class. Do your best. Make your mistakes and hopefully you'll be able to learn from them. Find something you can improve on, and let improvement, not perfection, be your goal.

I hope you go brother. Martial arts is not just good for the body but it is
also very good for the soul and we all need that in our lives.
I used to train years ago and went through all the anxiety before starting
but after a few lessons I was able to kind of get past it.
Go for it.

I'll have it in a spinach salad with feta and mozzarella cheese, tomatoes (would love to use bruschetta) onions carrots and little bit of balsamic vinegarette. Oh and a boiled egg.

For those that want the marinade, olive oil lemon juice, about third of what I use for both in soy sauce (sorry I don't really measure) 10 garlic cloves and Italian seasoning. Mix them all up in the ninja blender and pour over cut chicken.
