Hi,
I'm new to PsychCentral. I have bipolar II which was diagnosed in 2000 but suffered with depression most of my life. I do take meds and attend weekly therapy sessions. While I'm certainly more stable and better able to manage the disorder than I once was, I do tend to walk that "narrow balance beam" and am pretty easily triggered. I'm hoping this will be a safe place to come when those bp lows kick in. Also looking to provide support when I can. Hoping you're all having a peaceful day. Blessings, Etheria

Hello Etheria,

Welcome to PC. The people in this forum are some of the kindest most supportive people I've ever met. I think you'll really like it here.

I wish you the very best,

January

Welcome to PC Etheria. I'm also bipolar and when I get in my moods when I'm on the "narrow balance beam" coming here and using the chat room talking to others definetly helps, at least it calms me down quite a bit and being able to vent off steam, preventing me from doing something I will regret. So whenever your feeling down or really angry try going to the chat room and maybe it will help you too. New to PsychCentral

Thank you Dreamrunner, Mydarlin, January and Shyguy. I feel comfortable already - nice to not have to explain the "narrow balance beam" thing! Blessings
