I generally have a lot of nightmares because I have PTSD (but prazosin helps with that). However I've noticed when mixed, dysphorically manic, or depressed my dreams become even more intense and vivid to the point I am terrified to sleep.

Thanks for this!

I have a lot of strange dreams and they're usually vivid. I didn't have a problem until I started Lipitor. Odd.

If I am trying to sleep when I can't sleep, especially if I have been up a long time then I will have like half awake bad dream/daydreams where they are confusing and mixed up and cause me to sweat and give up trying to sleep for awhile. If I can achieve full sleep then nightmares will make up about half of my dreams, and that doesn't seem to change with my waking moods.

Recently I've been having very vivid dreams, I thought it was meds but seems to be related to mania. Its scary cause I can remember every detail to a tee. Yesterday I even remembered song lyrics of a song I never heard of, almost a chant, freaked me out.

I have the most bizarre dreams, and they can sometimes put me in some kind of mood for the day. I can't even explain what they are and what they are about.

Vivid nightmares are a warning sign of an episode for me

I think they might be for me too. I wonder if it is anxiety from the switch in moods?

When I'm manic, and in particular psychotic, I do dream a lot.
