This has happened before to me. A little bit ago, I was listening to some very nice soothing music. The person who uploaded it to Youtube added photos of the performers throughout. As I was listening to the 9-minute video, I watched the singers and their mouths moved. One boy's ear moved over. Its as if one boy was looking at me not just at the camera. When the whole choir showed up en mass, they all shuffled back and forth. Am I being creative, or are these hallucinations that others have too?

I'm not sure, but maybe they were hallucinations or tricks of the eye? If they were pictures and not video, the people would not move. And you said he was looking straight at you? I was listening to an audiobook once and the male reader began speaking directly to me trying to scare me...it was psychosis. I think that is most likely what you're dealing with. Can you let your doctor know?
Thanks for this!

Yes they were all pictures. It happened in public once- a few years ago- too but with only one photo on the wall, not 10 or 15 in a video. I see my pdoc Friday morning. Can I wait till then?

I'm not sure. Do you live with anyone? Is anyone around who knows what's going on? If not, I think a call to PDOC couldn't hurt.

Yes two of my kids live with me. Only ones that know about this are those reading this thread.

I have had hallucinations like that since i was a child. They don't always happen with pictures, but when they do it takes a a little bit of looking at it, unless I'm already seeing things move otherwise. I can induce them at will, but then that lets loose all kinds of things that are not so nice that don't go away as easily as they came.

I'm sure it can wait till Friday... It's not causing you a great amount of distress is it?

Is it accompanied by paranoia?

Is your quality of life and functioning negatively affected?

If not I wouldn't treat it as an emergency as your appointment is soon anyway.

I don't think it could hurt to call either. But I know I have many symptoms I can ignore because they don't really effect much. Have things ever turned very quickly on you before? If so, it's best your doctor at least know this is happening. Not that I always take my own advise, but I really do believe it best if you let your professional know. I hope things get better and not worse soon.

I saw her this morning. It seems my mood is low without zoloft (which made me manic and anorgasmic). Because of this we are trying Wellbutrin- never been on it before but it works differently than zoloft. I took one dose this morning after I picked up the script. At lunch, I felt a bit faint but she said this shouldn't happen until a much higher dose. I did mention the photographs but she didn't think much of it. I still feel tired, despite the fact that this drug is supposed to be activating. I got the CD I ordered. Its very nice. I could go back to bed. So much for activating. I'm on 150 for a dose- the lowest there is, she said.

I recently started Welbutrin too. I thought I was taking 100mg (I know that's what he said he was going to order) but checked the bottle and it's 150mg. I hope it helps you....and me

If your seeing crap while listening to music on YouTube ... Don't look just listen.

Ativan could easily be causing you memory problems you mentioned in one of your other threads, just a thought .... Maybe time to wean off or way down.

Seeing objects move when staring at them for prolonged time is pretty normal. I remember we even did excercise in school (like third grade) when teacher told us to focus on one point and start at until we start having "visions" (not sure i am using the right word. She did it not trip us... just to make us calm down and not run around all the time).

Everbody seen some distortions.

If you can tell it's not so, and it's just quirk of your mind, there is really no need to run to psych each time such a thing happens. Everybody's mind can start act slightly strange or off when tired or stressed. As long as you can tell it's just a trick of your processing... you are fine.
