Can you define what a delusion is? How can you tell if you are or were delusional?
Thanks for this!

A delusion to me is when I believe something that isn't true ie the police are looking for me or that I have been bugged by the police. Mines normally relate to the police even though I have never been in trouble with the police.
Thanks for this!

Personally I've had a few delusions the longest lasting over 6 months, to at least a year, and started out over the 2012 conspiracies, I believed I was something called a starseed, sent here from the planet Sirius, and to end up bringing earth into the 5th dimension by December 21st, 2012, I had to meditate, and raise my vibrations (honestly Im glad this didn't end in a suicide attempt), once Dec 21st, 2012 came and went, my delusions changed into something else, a continuation but slightly different, I believed I could only listen to music at 432hrz because that was what the earths vibrations were at, it was universal (typically music is tuned to 440hrz I believe), and all other music would lover my vibrations, and was evil, (this is not typical of me because I love dark music, primarily goth and emo music, add in some industrial and EBM to the mix). This again changed into my thinking I could telepathically communicate with my cat, so I wouldn't talk to him except in my head, cause I was.convinced he could read my thoughts telepathically. Then I believe we we lived in the Matrix, amd everything was a computer simulation (remember these.delusions lasted over 6 months to at least a year, between 2012 and 2013), I was only on Effexor at the time, well until November of 2012, I'm convinced this is what sent me delusional in the first place, and into untreated possible psychosis, and I'm not convinced I was in a mood episode the whole time. This one the Matrix delusion actually came back a few months ago and lasted for about 3 or 4 months, we had to change and up my meds and I'm still coming out of it.

Sorry for such a long post, but these are what I would personally consider delusions, from personal experience. Hope.this helps a bit.

delusions are false, fixed beliefs that one cannot be talked out of or reasoned out of

--response. In the wikipedia article on bipolar disorder, it says that there is a difference between delusions and hallucinations. W an delusion, youre just wrong. W a hallucination you imagine something that isnt there.
