So a while back I discovered ASMR ( Autonomous sensory meridian response). There's a huge community on YouTube for it. Basically it's videos or audio of sounds or people whispering or softly speaking. It's meant to be relaxing and insime people induces a pleasant tingly feeling down the spine or in the scalp.
I sometimes listen to videos as a self soothing technique and sometimes it really helps to calm me down. Is anyone else into this?

A friend told me about it a few months back and I do view some videos from time to time to help with anxiety. I especially enjoy the medical related ones or the ones of people taking care of each other when sick. Don't know what it is about those especially that does something to me. My best guess is an oxytocin rush or something. I've also experienced the 'tingles' when I was a child and my Nana was grooming me, sometimes when I go to the doctor, and when I get my hair cut. Also when I help a peer or someone younger than me learn how to do something.
