I am good for a while. Shopping, getting what I need, etc. Then Wham! I hit a wall. I can't get of there fast enough and just get back home.

Anyone else??? I feel like this is so weird

I do all my shopping online, so don't have that issue.

it has been years since i've even attempted to go to a real store

last time I ended up on the floor, in them iddle of the isle, kicking at the shelves.

a right mess

I have this issue specifically in our Target store. I don't know what it is, but I just get so overwhelmed in there, I start shutting down. I can't make decisions about what to get. I have to head straight home, and I'm done with exertion for the day.

It's worse when my BP symptoms are flaring up.

I get anxious in stores and have to hurry out of there. I sometimes dissociate in or near the store. I recently walked out of a walmart and had no idea how I got there, or what kind of vehicle I was looking for in the parking lot.

So glad I'm not alone. I don't have any social anxieties at all, but it's like my brain has a limit to how much time I'm either 1) away from home or 2) shopping.

Ugh. Maybe I now do actually have social issues.

Bipolar sucks. Bet you never heard that one before! Lol

I have the same problem. I'm always anxious in stores and ready to get out as fast as I can.

I love to shop. It's one of the things that gets me in trouble when I'm manic. I love shopping in vintage stores and thrift shops the most because it's like a treasure hunt. But when I have to shop for basic things like groceries or go to the pharmacy and things like that I get horrible anxiety. Especially at the pharmacy, I feel like I'm being judged.

I have a hard time in supermarkets. Lots of people, motion and noise. Thankfully we start at one end and go to the other, and always have a list. I don't seem to have a problem at other places (except the mall). I only shop at one store in the mall anyway, and it's at the end. Still, I buy a lot of stuff online.
