I can't drive!
I have a phobia of it. I have so much anxiety when I am in a car that I was never able to get my licensee. My mom and family is annoyed because they think I am acting like a child but I hate driving.
Also, all of my thoughts and moods are intensified so when I drive I feel like this could be dangerous or distracting.

Any one else with Bipolar not able to drive? or am I just crazy?

I drive everywhere that I go. Though some have suggested that I shouldn't drive at times. I have a tendency to get aggressive behind the wheel, and speed excessively depending on my mood. I have had road rage before too.
Thanks for this!

I used to have bad anxiety about it. I got my temporary license when I was 15 but didn't actually get my license until I was almost 20. The only thing I can say is that the anxiety does lessen the more you drive. Now I only have anxiety driving in bad weather or when I don't know where I'm going.
Thanks for this!

I didn't drive for 19 yrs! I'm 42. Trying to get my license again. I get nervous behind the wheel but it's getting easier. But, it's a long story it looks like I'm going to have to wait until spring to get my license. I'm bummed. But I totally understand your fear of driving.
Thanks for this!
